Mandatory Checkpoints

The Mandatory Checkpoints feature ensures that critical inspection data is always captured. Admins can now set specific checkpoints as mandatory in the inspection template, making them essential for inspectors to complete before submission. This feature improves inspection accuracy by ensuring all required information is filled out, while providing flexibility with N/A exceptions for irrelevant sections.

Setting Mandatory Checkpoints (Admins)

Inspection Template

• As an Admin, navigate to the Inspection Template settings on the web desktop portal.

• For each checkpoint, you will now see a checkbox option labeled "Mandatory".

• By selecting this checkbox, you ensure that inspectors must complete this checkpoint during their inspection.

Identifying & Completing Mandatory Checkpoints (Inspectors)

Inspection Form

• When conducting an inspection, checkpoints marked as mandatory in the template will display a red asterisk (*) next to the checkpoint name.

• These checkpoints must be filled out before the inspection can be submitted.

Navigating Sections and Sub-Sections

• If you attempt to leave a section or sub-section with incomplete mandatory checkpoints:
• A modal will appear, prompting you to either complete the checkpoints now or continue without completing.
• Any incomplete mandatory checkpoints will be highlighted in red, along with the sub-section or section names.

Submitting the Inspection

• Before submitting the inspection, if any mandatory checkpoints are incomplete, you will be prompted with a modal alert.

• You will not be able to submit the inspection until all mandatory checkpoints are completed, unless they are marked as N/A (Not Applicable).

Exceptions with N/A (Not Applicable)

• If a section conclusion is marked as N/A, all mandatory checkpoints within that section will be ignored, and you can proceed without filling them out.

• If the inspection overall result is marked as N/A, all mandatory checkpoints will be ignored, allowing you to submit the inspection without completing those checkpoints.
